What is Scaling Value?
Scaling Value is maximising the potential value that can be created by an innovation or new enterprise. Too many innovations and start-ups (both new ventures and within established organisations) flounder and don't achieve their full potential. They fail to scale.
Successful scaling leads to creating the maximum amount of value for the maximum number of people and organisations that is possible with your innovation. But the scale journey is long and complex. Even for businesses that have grown seemingly exponentially, the story is one of years of hard work and struggle.

has spent the past decade researching, advising, and speaking on strategy, partnering, and innovation, with a particular focus on innovation scaling. In that time he has supported over 100 innovation scaling journeys; from innovations in large businesses and UN agencies to social enterprises, not-for-profits, and numerous start-ups across the world. He provides training, mentoring, and bespoke accelerator programmes.
John Bessant
has been active in the field of research and consultancy in technology and innovation management for over 40 years. John has acted as advisor to various national governments, to international bodies including the United Nations, The World Bank and the OECD and to a wide range of companies.
